Now we will continue with our scheduled posting of quality freeware programs that can be found on the web, stay tuned!

We all have had malware at one point or another in our computers, usually we get rid of the bad stuff by reformatting and installing Windows again and even tough that it's a valid aproach it gets old fast. Therefore all of you should give ComboFix a chance, this little utility will remove known malware by doing a simple scan. The malware that it can't get rid of will go into a log that can be used by really knowledgeable people to delete the bad stuff in question. If you are planing to use ComboFix i recommend reading this handy guide that will help you when runnning the program for the first time besides having some download links for the app.
In conclusion if your system has been hijacked by malware then give ComboFix a chance.

Allow only one instance of a program to run.
- User defined programs.
- Option to detect hidden programs.
- Won't close instances started before SingleInstance.
If for some reason you only want to keep a single instance of a program running in Windows then you must give SingleInstance a try. This small app will only keep a single instance of a program running and will close any extra ones, you can set the response time to make the extra instances close pretty quickly which is pretty good. SingleInstance only used between 4 to 5MB of memory in my sistem so the program shouldn't take many resources. In conclusion this could be a handy for some people and works well. Available for all Windows versions.
